Hi, I’m Sarah Stone.
I’m a graduate of Carleton University Mass Communications honours program in Ottawa with a minor in law. While attending Carleton, I explored my interests through volunteer work and internships to hone in on my skills in social media, public relations, marketing, and event planning.
After completing my BA, I worked in an exciting role as the communications lead at the Carleton University Student Experience Office. I then went after a new challenge as a marketing coordinator for the Canadian Real Estate Association, where I developed strong writing and editing skills for numerous campaigns and marketing collateral.
After a few years of working, I decided to go back to school and master my public relations skills. I’m currently enrolled at Loyalist College for the post-graduate Public Relations and Event Management program in Belleville and working as a communications and marketing coordinator for Studio22, a fine art gallery in Kingston, Ontario.
What I Stand For
In a hyper-connected world, I believe the proper research, planning, and tools used to communicate can provide rewarding outcomes. With over four years working in communications and marketing, I am fascinated with how people consume media and use it to represent themselves and their brand’s message.
I’m truly passionate about the work I do and always eager to grow and expand my knowledge with like-minded individuals. You can always catch me watching webinars, taking online courses, or networking with individuals to build my skills and knowledge in a field that is rapidly growing and changing.
When I am not working, I’m usually taking a new fitness class at the YMCA, reading the latest books from Heather’s Picks at Chapters, or playing online video games (someone help me in Banished because I can’t get past level 3). If you follow me on social media, you will also see I am a lover of chocolate and my floooof of a dog.
Let’s Work Together
